Kansas City In Person Childbirth Classes

Class includes the changes of late pregnancy, process of labor and birth, relaxation and breathing techniques, comfort measures for labor, variations that might occur during labor and birth, the use of analgesia and anesthesia and postpartum and newborn care. We will begin the morning with a Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby unit tour. Please report to Labor and Delivery FIRST. We will then walk to class together. Class will be held from 8 am until 2 pm in the Heart Center 6802 conference room. We will take a 1-hour lunch break mid-day. You may bring your lunch, or you may choose to dine at a nearby restaurant or in the cafeteria. 

Please park in P3 and enter through the main doors of the hospital (Bell Hospital Tower)

After entering through the main doors veer left, walk past the gift shop to the 6 pack of elevators. Take the elevators to the 5th floor. You will see a big sign for Labor and Delivery. Please bring your ID as it is a locked unit.

Class will be held in 6802 conference room in the Heart Hospital located at 3901 Rainbow BLVD, Kansas City, KS 66160. Class will be held from 8:30 am (after unit tour) until 2 pm (typically get done early). 

(If you need to meet us in the classroom) From the main doors, turn right and walk past the Roasterie coffee shop. Take the elevators to the 6th floor. The classroom is located on the left through the glass double doors.  

The room temperature may vary, so you may wish to bring a sweater or jacket as needed.
