In Person Childbirth Classes

Class includes the changes of late pregnancy, process of labor and birth, relaxation and breathing techniques, comfort measures for labor, variations that might occur during labor and birth, the use of analgesia and anesthesia and postpartum and newborn care. Class will be held at the Westwood Medical Pavilion building located at 2330 Shawnee Mission Parkway. Class will be held from 8 am until 4 pm. We will take a 1-hour lunch break mid-day. You may bring your lunch, or you may choose to dine at a nearby restaurant.

Please enter and park in front of the Administration Center located on the corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Shawnee Mission Parkway.  You may park in any of the spaces in front of this area.  Enter through the Administration Center door closest to the parking area. Class will be held in the Multipurpose Room located on the second floor.  

The room may vary in temperature, so you may wish to bring a sweater or jacket as needed. You may also wish to bring a blanket and pillows to use when practicing breathing and relaxation on the floor as time allows.
